Booked as a group of 3. One of our parties was put on a different floor. They accommodated them by switching them to our floor the following day, so that was helpful. Staff is really friendly, our room location was great for quick access to activities. But the room itself was quite dirty. The soap in the bathroom and spots on the floor were there from check in day to check out day (6 days). I debated on posting them, but I did clean the area with a towel on check out day, and it cleaned easily. Which gives me a gross vibe about room cleanliness. There was also hairs in the sheets, so I'm really telling myself that it was just from laundry. Our room was also right next to the pool, so while we were trying to sleep we were woken up at 10:50 every night from the lifeguard blowing his whistle and yelling. And woken up at 5-6am from the power washer attendant outside our window. I really liked the area and hotel though. Just a few areas for improvement

The Safari room is very much worth it and I would recommend getting club level so that way you can have snacks available all day without having to worry about it. The staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean. Thank you for giving us extra towels without even us having to ask for them. Not my first time staying here and most definitely not my last. 😁

Only stayed for our last night at Disney. We had a Savannah View. Toasted marshmallows over the fire pit. Saw a beautiful sunset and woke up to an even spectacular sunrise. Wonderful way to end my vacation with my bestie. The pictures were taken from my balcony. That's how close to the animals the room was located.

Awesome experience at Animal Kingdom Jambo. The lobby is breathtaking with very high ceilings, a bridge, and spacious. The kids can chill and watch Disney cartoons on one section of the lobby while other areas for sitting, and relaxing with water features and a fire pit. Rooms were clean and organized, and the kids loved waking up to see various animals from Zebras, Giraffes, Antelope, etc. We went the week before Halloween so the boys could see Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween festivities and parade at night at the Magic Kingdom. Highly recommend for kids as the parade was out of this world, and plus, the kids go trick or treating too!! The restaurants on premise were all great. For a quick bite, The Mara was convenient, and the buffet restaurant had a lot of great foods. We also ate at Jiko, which is a formal dining, across from the buffet restaurant. The short rib was delish and amazing. Highly recommend it. They had a very large swimming pool with water slide, walk in beach type pool for easy access, and an adult full service bar. Lifeguards were on duty all hours. Also, there were two hot tubs: one behind the water slide and the other by the flamingo area and animals. There is a fitness center with plenty of treadmills, elliptical, and weights. I used it three times while there, and it was clean and spacious. Also, it had massage rooms which you reserve and the locker rooms were clean as well. Overall, we had a great experience and would do it again, staying at Animal House Jambo. Would like to see the breakfast open a little earlier, like 630, but understood that no one wants to get up early on a vacation.

Disney Animal kingdom Lodge , I expected so much but meh... Don't get me wrong there are a lot of cool things about this Disney hotel but I hold Disney hotels and DVC places to a higher standard. Not to mention the higher price... Yes you get to see the animals but the pictures in the brochure and advertising don't match the actual experience. The animals are so close up on the brochure, in real life, not so much. Granted this is a pretty cool and unique hotel but this is Disney and not cheap! The main lobby is spectacular however the day we were there the roof had a great big leak! It was raining outside and it was bad, they had a person keeping everyone away. Maintenance problems? You think? How about the rooms? Well the shower faucet in our room was about to come off and it kind did but it still worked when I put it back! Lol! The rooms are pretty small and dark for what you pay, actually uncomfortably small! This is a one and done for me. Also be prepared to do a lot of walking! The place is huge and even though they put the parking lot under the hotel, making it very convenient, it's still a long way to your room. Don't get me wrong, the food and service is great, I just think that they should maintain the property and tell you exactly how it's really going to be. The magic is not as much on this one! The Contemporary is better! In my opinion. The shows and cast are wonderful and worth it. The pool is cool too. They just need to tweak it a bit nothing major, it's doable! Still it's worth going, we did.
