We recently stayed at this resort as part of a group for an event my daughter was participating in. Unfortunately, the experience was frustrating from the start. Because we booked through the group rate, upgrading our room wasn’t an option—something we weren’t made aware of beforehand. At first glance, the hotel appears beautiful and luxurious from the outside, but our excitement quickly faded when we realized our room was in the very last building at the back of the resort. This meant we had to haul our luggage nearly half a mile (I know because I mapped the distance) from the lobby to our room. While the walkways were well-maintained and smooth, making it easy for our luggage to glide, the sheer distance was exhausting. It’s also easy to get lost if you’re not staying in the tower, though the front desk does provide a map at check-in. To make matters worse, my daughter was wearing a knee brace due to a torn ligament, so walking that distance—especially after a long day at Disney—was far from ideal. Adding to the inconvenience, my daughter has a soy allergy, and only one restaurant at the resort listed its allergens in the Disney app. Unfortunately, she didn’t find anything appealing there, and the hotel does not offer room service. We decided to order food through Uber Eats to avoid trekking back and forth just to inquire about allergens. However, when the Uber driver arrived, he called to inform me that security wouldn’t let him into the resort to deliver our meal. He was only permitted to pull up to the tower near the lobby and wait. Thinking this had to be a mistake, I called the front desk to ask if he could at least leave the food there for me to pick up. The staff informed me that their policy does not allow them to accept hot food deliveries, meaning the driver would have to wait for me to walk all the way from my room—a half-mile away—to get the order. I explained that Uber charges waiting fees, and I was told by Taylor, a manager, that their recommendation was to cancel my order and find food on-site instead. I explained that canceling an Uber eats order would cause an additional charge for me, and again, that my daughter has a soy allergy and finding suitable food without clearly posted allergens is a challenge. I also voiced my frustration that the resort does not offer room service, which would have prevented this issue in the first place. Taylor remained firm on the policy and apologized, but I was baffled by how this was considered a security concern when I was calling directly from my hotel room, verifying my own order, and confirming that the driver was delivering food to me, a paying guest. Meanwhile, I noticed a glaring inconsistency in their so-called security: guests boarding the Coronado Springs buses at Disney parks are not required to show a room key before getting on, meaning anyone can take the bus and be dropped off inside the resort beyond the parking lot gates. So while Uber Eats drivers delivering a confirmed guest’s meal are denied entry, anyone can freely enter the resort via the bus system with zero verification. That alone proves that their security policies are full of holes. Overall, this experience was frustrating enough that we would never stay at this resort again. If another event we were attending were hosted here, we would skip the event entirely just to avoid staying at this hotel. While the exterior looks upscale, the policies, customer service, and amenities are more in line with a budget motel.

Disney World Coronado Springs Resort was amazing! The resort is massive, featuring a stunning lake in the middle with a lovely restaurant right on the water. There are plenty of restaurants and bars all around the park, making it easy to enjoy delicious food. The staff were incredibly friendly, and their communication was top-notch, which made our stay even more enjoyable. They had staff that were able to answer any question we had about the DisneyWorld Parks whenever we needed them. The location is fantastic, being very close to the Disney World parks, and we found it super convenient to drive everywhere. They also provided plenty of parking, and there were buses available if you wanted to hop on instead. On top of that, the resort has a running track, beautiful pools, and our room was very clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend this resort for anyone looking for a great Disney experience!

I am 62 and have never written a review before this but felt it was warranted. The Coronado is a great setting with the main tower and many small buildings surrounding a lake However, you would think a Disney hotel exec would Go undercover to understand the experience. 1. The room lights are way too bright yet there are no dimmers. 2. The blankets are not blankets but a few sheets with a thin liner so they are not conducive to help get a good night's sleep. 3. The toilet flush noise is way too loud and toilet seats are not soft close. 4. Every time you enter the bathroom there is a sensor that triggers The fan to go on and it is very loud. If you are with your spouse and one gets up at 3am to go to the bathroom you will wake them up. 5. The food in the courtyard, which is the only choice for breakfast, is awful. Powdered scrambled eggs And just in general the food is terrible and a rip off. There are a few other options like the sports bar and logo and Mexican restaurant so there are better options but I didn't try any due to us being out at lunch and dinner. . 6. They use to have a separate Check in for the smaller buildings but they eliminated that option to save money. Overall it's not a bad place to stay due to the scenery but the rooms are a bit dated and the lighting, blanket, bathroom fan, and breakfast food are all good reasons to stay at another hotel

We are annual pass holders and stay at Disney often. This was our first and last stay at Coronado Springs. We always pay extra for preferred rooms, which are typically closer to the lobby and bus stop. There was nothing "preferred" about our room, as we were far away from the restaurants and bus stops. If you're traveling with small children, older parents, have issues walking, or bring several pieces of luggage, I do not recommend this resort!

You can't turn AC past 68 or the heat comes on. Need more luggage carts. Long walk to rooms. Would be nice if they offered golf cart rides to your room, esp after a long day at parks . Room was very clean, beds were nice and soft, shower was amazing. Would be nice to have microwave in room. All staff were super nice
