Guests with Special Dietary Needs

To make sure all Guests have a magical stay, the Florida theme parks offer a range of culinary options for those with food allergies and intolerances.

Food Allergies

Most locations can accommodate the following common food allergies and intolerances:

1. Eggs

2. Fish

3. Gluten

4. Milk

5. Peanuts

6. Shellfish

7. Soy

8. Tree Nuts

9. Wheat

To assist Guests with their dining choices, most Florida Theme Park restaurant locations offer allergy-friendly menus or allergy guides to address common allergies and intolerances. Guests with food allergies should discuss their dietary requirements with an employee upon arrival at the restaurant.

Reasonable efforts are used in food sourcing, preparation and handling procedures to avoid the introduction of the named allergens in menu choices. While steps are taken to prevent cross-contact, there are no separate allergy-friendly kitchens and are unable to guarantee that a menu item is completely free of allergens. It is ultimately up to your discretion to make an informed choice based upon your individual dietary needs.

Other Special Dietary Requests

Many locations are able to accommodate lifestyle requests as well with no advanced arrangements. This includes diabetes, gastric bypass, lap band, low-carbohydrate, low-fat, low-sodium, no-sugar-added or plant-based options.

Guests with any concerns or questions should contact Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com or Food.Allergy@universalorlando.com after booking dining arrangements for their visit and no more than 14 days prior to their arrival.

The teams will assist in navigating the dining process. Be sure to communicate your dietary restrictions upon arrival at the restaurant. While restaurants will do their best to accommodate dietary requirements, they cannot guarantee that they will be able to meet all requests.

Making a Special Dietary Request

Standard menu selections are available to view online, and allergy-friendly menus are available at many dining locations. When making reservations and arriving at your dining location, please follow these guidelines:

Reserving Online - When reserving a table online, please indicate all food allergies and intolerances at the time of booking.

At the Restaurant - Inform the server of any restrictions upon your arrival. You have the opportunity to consult with an employee if desired.

Kosher Meals

Kosher meals can be accommodated at restaurants and should be requested at least 72 hours in advance by calling +1(407) 824-1391 for Walt Disney World Resort and +1(407) 224-4233 for Universal Studios Orlando. Also be sure to indicate any dietary requirements upon arrival at your dining location.

Halal Meals

At Walt Disney World Resort, Halal meals can be accommodated at select table service restaurants and should be requested at least 24 hours in advance by calling +1(407) 824-1391. For all other restaurants, email Special.Diets@DisneyWorld.com. Also be sure to indicate any dietary requirements upon arrival at your dining location.

Halal meat options will vary at all locations and in some cases only vegetarian or specific seafood meals will be available.

Personal Food Items

Guests with food allergies or intolerances are allowed to bring food into Walt Disney World theme parks and dining locations as well as at Universal Studios Orlando. When entering a park, simply inform the Security at bag check that someone in the party has a food allergy or intolerance. Please note: Theme Park employees are prohibited from storing, preparing, cooking or reheating any food brought by Guests into our Resort hotels or theme parks. Glass containers are also not permitted in the Parks.

Refrigerating and Heating Personal Food Items - Guests staying at a Resort hotel who have items that need to be refrigerated may use the small refrigerator in their room or call Housekeeping to request an additional small refrigerator (subject to availability).
